Employment Services Certificate Program

The Employment Services Certificate Program is an introductory, interactive, competency-based training designed for employment staff who are supporting individuals in competitive employment, supported employment, transition from school to career, or customized employment. This training is founded on a competency-based curriculum that has been approved by the Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) based on the competencies developed by APSE: The Network on Employment.

Through this training, participants will acquire basic skills necessary to provide “best practices” in community employment.  Participants will also acquire such outcomes as long-term placement for job seekers, a stable foundation of knowledge, a professional set of standards, a code of ethics, and a systematic approach to learning.
