Cathy Houser, Account Representative
The Corporate Connections Account Representative is a regional employment resource providing services to Tennessee businesses. This single point of contact will assist employers in recruiting and retaining qualified employees. Additional services to companies include training, technical assistance, and consultation. Account Representatives specialize in working with Tennessee employers to promote employment opportunities for people with disabilities. The services are funded by the TN Division of Rehabilitation Services and administered by The University of Tennessee.
Cathy has over 15 years experience as a legal administrative assistant and office manager for a law firm that represented corporations (health care) and local governments. A change in direction came after taking a position with the Williamson County School System as a job coach. She was transferred to the position of Vocational Rehabilitation Case Manager working in three high schools with students with disabilities. In this position Cathy determined a student’s eligibility for Vocational Rehabilitation Services and followed the student through the system until their transition from high school into the community and their successful employment. In March of 2005 she became the Corporate Connections Account Representative for Region 5 of the Division of Rehabilitation Services.
