Crystal Godwin-Melvin,
Self-Determination Trainer
Crystal Godwin began her career with Connections for Disability and Employment in May 2007 as the Program Resource Specialist before becoming the Self-Determination Trainer in February 2008. She is very enthusiastic about her duties and is looking forward to working with educators and students by showing them the keys to promote empowerment through self-determination and self-advocacy.
Before joining the CDE staff, Crystal was an Education Director for a nationally recognized after school and summer youth oriented organization. In her personal and professional life, she has obtained many years of experience working with those who have disabilities and is eager to share her knowledge along with the Self-Determination Curriculum with today's youth by giving them the tools they need to make the best choices for their future.
