The Center on Disability and Employment (CDE)

Mission

The Center on Disability and Employment advances universal access for people with disabilities in employment, education, and life. The Center fosters continuous learning and improvement among the workforce, human service professionals, community members, and academic environment. Formerly UT-TIE, this organization gained new recognition from the University of Tennessee to become the Center on Disability and Employment.

The Center is a part of:

  • the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences at the University of Tennessee
  • the Boling Center for Developmental Disabilities, Tennessee's University Center for Excellence in Disabilities
  • UT Educational Psychology and Counseling Department.

Vision

The Center on Disability and Employment is a national leader in research and outreach services for advancing the inclusion of people with disabilities in employment through workforce learning.

New Training Opportunities

The Center on Disability and Employment is launching a series of certificate based training modules. Some trainings will include Continuing Education Credit opportunities.
